I have to respectfully disagree with your feelings about the CNN report. I did not see a bias at all. I think they were saying it was showing one point of view and that the LDS church (even if wouldn’t talk about the movie directly) said evidence showed a differing view about Brigham Young. And the LDS/Mormons are not the only religious group out there that has the media use them as a “shock factor” in selling a movie or TV show. Many a show/movie has dealt with issues on the Roman Catholic faith…the abusive priest issues were front page for a very long time. Law and Order TV had it on. Christian Science has been a subject on the Law and Order shows with “child abuse” with the fact the faithful at times choose faith healing over doctors for their children…and it has been very bias. And you can’t tell me Tom Cruise hasn’t been kicked around a bit due to his beliefs? And there have been religious killings by fanatics as well as main stream faiths thru-out history. One group’s actions I do not think condemns nor will everyone see it as such the whole LDS faith.
You might be too young but JFK while running for office as a Catholic sure took a beating. But the very high Catholic population in the US was on his side. I think in campaigns today they find anything they can to discredit a candidate and Mitt Romney will be questioned on his faith…as LDS is not a "mainstream" faith. And there are many voters that question and cannot separate the man from his religion. Being LDS does not affect my choice in voting for him but he is too conservative for me and my political agenda.

I can understand your frustration and I felt the same during the priest scandal. But prayed and realized the broader picture. Hang in...long time 'till election day. :)

It is only going to get worse. As soon as I heard that Mitt Romney was running, I said "Well, let the lies and propoganda begin"
