Peter,
First…ahhhh on the visuals of you sweet baby son and you the dad…too cute!
Now I’ll share a bit of info…I worked for many years as the Store Controller of a very large Retail Department Store in the Washington, DC area. I dealt with shortages in the inventory as a large part of my job. You will be surprised to hear most theft comes from inside….the employees. My security team spent more hours watching the store employees than customers…sad. The loading docks a prime spot to empty boxes of merchandise by the dishonest employees before sending them onto the selling floor…so the packaging nightmare you speak of slows that down…
Enjoy that baby now as next week he’ll be asking for the car keys….

Peter - those wires are terrible. The only thing I like about them is once I finally have the puzzle unraveled, I can keep the wires to wrap up the cords behind my computer, entertainment system, etc. What I hate worse than the wires are the plastic display containers used now that you have to practically destroy to get open not to mention the real risk of slicking a finger clean off with the edges.
