The Holy Grail!

I found it. Yep it is true. I thought I would announce it here before the media ascended upon my house. What is this holy grail you might ask. Odds are you are surrounded by them. Look around, they are everywhere. Those little things that you don’t see until you need to watch TV, Use a Flashlight or heck, even drive your car! Yep, I am talking about BATTERIES!
Nothing is worse than plopping yourself down after a long day, kids finally in bed, the house is quiet and while reaching for the remote you find it dead!!!!! ARGH! Now you have to rummage through draw and cupboard in the great search for the batteries. Now what do you say to yourself in this moment of frustration…”How do I buy Energizer stock?” Not only are batteries elusive, but they are so dad-gum expensive! So now that the remote is dead (and so are half the toys in the toy box) it is off to the store for the holy grail of electronics. I swear that is what battery companies think the value of their product. For a product that is about as necessary as sliced bread (and lasts about as long) you would think it would cost the same
With Christmas right around the corner, it is a necessary stock item. If you buy your child a toy you have to make a separate shopping list for batteries alone!! 10 AA, 8 AAA, 4 C, 4 D…total equals more than what you just spent on your children’s toys!! So now you know what the holy Grail is….Batteries, plain and simple! Now excuse me while I plug in the laptop so my BATTERY doesn’t die!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t know where the batteries go in my house (flat). We need them for everything and i even have a special Battery Box that has different sized holes to store all the necessary batteries in for when we need them…but when i go to get some to put in the tv arial or something, they are never there. I wouldn’t mind so much but they never tell me when they’ve taken the last one, so i can go and replace them. Expensive???? they’re astronomical. Funny how you never see any reports of battery manufacturers going out of business isnt it.
